Hi Guys! I am planning 8 days trip to Romania in May 2017. I of course would like to try fly fishing in some of your beautiful rivers. Could somebody advise me what permission I need? Is it something I can get online? Thank you in advance,

Chris.

From 1 April to 31 May fishing is prohibited in Romania.

Fisheries legislation was changed recently in Romania. Unfortunately no longer issue permits for a while.

List of fishing areas can be found here:

Tension wire!

Hi mate, unfortunately in our country fly fishing is not the most popular fishing style (let s say as in United Kingdom) but you can get great days in mountain rivers.

By the way, if you intend for changing style we are a lot of carp dreamers, just let us know.

Take care!

Hi,
Trout is kind of disappeared from. our mountain waters.
If you still want to fish, I strongly recommend you spinning for zander on Lake Sarulesti. Also, you may rent boat there.
